National Parks

Canada's national parks are critically important for both the preservation of nature, and for people’s ability to enjoy protected nature. Dedicated by law to be used so as to leave them unimpaired for the enjoyment of future generations, they carry the legal mandate to be managed primarily for ecological integrity. Unfortunately, a steadily increasing amount of data indicates that Canada’s national parks are not ecologically secure. Canada must re-commit to ensuring the long-term security of nature in these most precious of places.
